Master David Kim

With over 25 years of Taekwondo training and 15 years of teaching experience, Master David Kim brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the Boise community. A seasoned competitor, he has participated in numerous regional Taekwondo tournaments as well as traditional and mixed martial arts events. Master Kim deeply values the role of mentors and teachers in shaping lives and is committed to helping every student reach their fullest potential, both on and off the mat. He is very passionate about teaching life skills through Taekwondo, emphasizing the importance of discipline, focus, perseverance, respect, and confidence in all aspects of life.

Master Grace Bae

A graduate of Yong-In University, South Korea’s premier institution for martial arts education and training, Master Grace Bae holds a bachelor’s degree in Taekwondo education and instruction. She spent five years as a member of the world-renowned World Taekwondo Demonstration Team (featured on America’s Got Talent), showcasing her skills in over 15 countries. Her performances include prestigious events such as the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, the United Nations, and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Master Bae is dedicated to empowering students to build self-confidence and discipline, inspiring them to reach their full potential through Taekwondo training.

Leadership Team and Instructors

Every class at Master Kim’s Taekwondo is led by Master Kim, with direct support from Master Bae, ensuring consistent instruction, high standards, and a strong connection to our school’s core values.

They are supported by a dedicated Leadership Team of instructors who assist in every class to ensure each student receives proper instruction, personal attention, encouragement, and guidance. This team approach allows us to maintain quality and structure—even as one of the largest Taekwondo schools in the Boise area.

Each instructor on our leadership team is hand-selected and completes extensive training in:

  • Teaching and communication skills
  • Leadership development and mentorship
  • Technical Taekwondo proficiency
  • Student safety and class management

Beyond teaching technique, our instructors serve as positive role models, reinforcing discipline, respect, confidence, and perseverance through their actions both on and off the mat.
